Strategic Partnership Accelerates Aircraft Thermal Innovation
Meggitt plc and Ansys have forged an enhanced partnership to revolutionize thermal management in next-generation aircraft design. This collaboration standardizes Ansys' simulation portfolio across Meggitt's global engineering teams, focusing on developing advanced heat exchangers for aircraft engines.
The partnership has already delivered significant results in validating additively manufactured heat exchangers. Using Ansys Material Designer, engineers successfully simplified complex models of systems containing thousands of cooling channels without sacrificing accuracy.
"Ansys simulation capabilities have become fundamental to our global engineering operations," noted Mark Conlin, Meggitt's Group VP of Engineering Operations.
This simulation-driven approach has cut thermal management system development time by six months while improving performance and reducing prototype costs. The multi-year agreement covers Ansys Mechanical, CFD, HFSS, and SCADE software tools.
