Wall Colmonoy's Aerobraze OKC Secures 5-Year USAF Contract for F-15 Heat Exchanger Remanufacturing
The United States Air Force has awarded Wall Colmonoy Aerobraze Engineered Technologies Oklahoma City a five-year contract to remanufacture F-15 fighter aircraft fin and plate heat exchangers at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho. The historic base, operational since World War II, is home to the 366th Fighter Group.
Brian Martin, Director of Business Development for Aerobraze U.S., expressed satisfaction with securing this competitively bid, multi-year contract, noting it demonstrates their ability to provide significant cost savings to both USAF and Foreign Military Sales customers requiring F-15 primary heat exchanger support.
The Aerobraze Oklahoma City facility developed a specialized remanufacturing process that fully replaces the heat exchanger core while conducting thorough inspection and testing according to USAF Technical Order specifications. This approach offers a more economical alternative to complete part replacement. Since 2013, the facility has successfully manufactured over 500 F-15 primary heat exchangers.
